I tend to be a lazy camper. I justify it by saying that I am efficient. In fact, you know how in job interviews, they ask you to identify your biggest shortcoming? I figured mine out. I’m lazy but that drives me to find the most efficient way to get things done. Unfortunately, I haven’t been asked that question since I came up with that genius answer. (If I ever interview for a job with you, please ask me that question so I can tell you how efficiently lazy I am.)
Because of my laziness, I really can’t stand lugging all kinds of camping gear around. Light and easy is how I roll.
At the same time, I do have limits for how much I am willing to sacrifice while camping. Like my daily morning cup of coffee. Decaf with creamer. Flavored creamer. Just one cup a day. I really like the taste of it. Speaking of coffee…
Anyway, I have been looking for a quick, light, and easy way to make coffee while camping and I found it. Behold the Coffee Brew Buddy.
I love this little guy. It folds up flat so it doesn’t take up a bunch of space. It’s so easy to use. Put your coffee in the basket, put the basket over your cup, add hot water, and let it steep until it’s as strong as you want it.
I have used this coffee maker for two years already. It holds up well. My only complaint is that it can be a bit messy when you remove it from the cup. I have to make sure that I don’t remove it over the table. Not a big deal.
